Hoy oficialmente llevo un mes sin catar el agua. Un mes de cambios y ritmos, un mes sin sal, sin sol y sin calor, un mes lleno de movimiento pero no el generado por las "lavadoras" de las olas, un mes inmerso en un mar de gestiones que nada tienen que ver con el mar que estoy acostumbrado a gestionar. Hoy día 1 de Diciembre es oficialmente mi primer mes de sequía en un desierto de frías aguas de lluvia sin sabor a sal.
Son las 8 de la tarde y por cuestiones de trabajo acabo de llegar de un viaje de Valencia; hoy ha sido el primer día que he visto el mar y lo he hecho con añoranza desde los altos vuelos de un avión comercial donde no me importaba el tranquilo aspecto que presentaba el mar... no había olas, no había espuma, no salían afilados arrecifes a la superficie pero el corazón me ha dado un vuelco al ver la inmensidad de la libertad que representa el mar. Entre tanto yo volvía al ritmo trepidante de las típicas reuniones y hasta mi vuelo de vuelta no he vuelto a liberar mi mente que estaba trabajando al 200% tal y como requiere esta sociedad estresante en la que vivimos.
El mes que viene vuelvo a las frias aguas del Norte donde me esperan buenos amigos y donde mezclaré el olor del mar con la goma del neopreno. Vuelvo a mi rutina maratoniana de viajes de fin de semana al Norte, viajes que me ponen en contacto con esa libertad que sólo sabes encontrar mientras estas en el agua. Norte: allá voy!!!
Today i have officially tasted a month withou water. A month of changes and rhythms, a month without salt, withou sun and withou heat, a month full of motion but not created by the "washing" of the waves, a month immersed in a sea of efforts that have nothing to do with the sea that im used to manage. December 1, today is officially my first month of drought in a cold desert rainwater tasteless salt.
Its 8pm and because of business i just returned from a trip to Valencia, today was the first day i´ve seen the sea and i did fondly from high-flying commercial aircraft where i did not care about how quiet was the sea... there were no waves, no white water, no sharp coral but my heart has turned around to see the immensity of the freedom that represents the sea. In the meantime i went back to the hustle and bustle of typical meetings and until my next flight my mind was 200% working as required by this stressful society we live.
Next month i go back to the cold northern waters where i expect good friends and where the smell of the sea mixed up with neoprene rubber. Back to my routine of trips to the North, the travels that put me in touch with the freedom that i only know how to find while on the water. North; here i go!
