Hoy os traigo nuevas y recientes imágenes de Bali de estos últimos días. Imágenes espectaculares del último swell potente que ha llegado a la costa de Bukit. Notar la masiva influencia occidental que esta llegando a las costas balinesas... la construcción de resorts de lujo con vistas inmejorables están a la orden del día y el mercado inmobiliario esta al alza. Precios fuera de toda lógica en un lugar donde hace tan sólo unos años podías comprar extensas zonas junto a paradisiacas playas a precios irrisorios. Hoy todo a cambiado pero las olas siguen tan perfectas como siempre.

Today I bring you new and recent images of Bali in recent days. Spectacular images of the last powerful swell that has come to the coast of Bukit. Note the massive Western influence that is coming to the Balinese coast ... the construction of luxury resorts with super views are the order of the day and the housing market is on the rise. Illogical prices in a place where only a few years ago you could buy large areaswith beautiful beaches at bargain prices. Today everything has changed but the waves are as perfect as ever.

FINDE EN CANTABRIA

Desempolvamos la cámara y por la falta de costumbre la sacamos sin trípode para inmortalizar algunas imágenes de este fin de semana en Santander. Falla la calidad de la imagen, pero suficientemente bien han salido para tirar fotos a pulso con un objetivo 400. Gracias MTK´s, se nota que no has perdido práctica! jejeje, y gracias, como siempre, a mis amigos de Santander por su hospitalidad y atención.

We take out the dust from the camera and by the lack of customs we take it out without a tripod to immortalize some pictures from this weekend in Santander. Fails the image quality, but it have gone well enough to shoot pictures by handheld. Thanks to MTK's, it seems that you have not lost the practice! hehehe, thanks, as always, to my friends from Santander for their hospitality and care.

Adriano gana el Billabong Pro Rio y se pone a la cabeza del campeonato del mundo. En el último día del campeonato, Adriano pasó sus mangas con cierta polémica pero finalmente se hizo con la victoria. Condiciones no demasiado buenas y puntuaciones algo raras... Aquí el resumen final:



Adriano wins the Billabong Pro Rio and he is first in the world championship. On the last day of the championship, Adriano passed his heats with some controversy, but finally he took the victory. Conditions not too good and the scoring was kind of rare ... Here the final summary.

II CAMPEONATO SURF BENALMÁDENA

Este fin de semana empieza el periodo de espera de la segunda edición del campeonato Open de surf Benalmádena. Organizado por SurfingClub Málaga, pretende potenciar el surf en sus costas con este Open de surf, bodyboard, longboard y paddle race. Atención, plazas limitadas. Desde aquí esperamos que tengan las mejores condiciones.

This weekend begins the waiting period from the second edition of the Open championship of surfing Benalmádena. Organized by SurfingClub Málaga, aims to promote their coast with this Open surf, bodyboard, longboard and paddle race. From here we hope them to have the best conditions.

BILLABONG PRO RIO 2011

Mañana, un día antes de mi cumpleaños, da comienzo el Billabong Pro Rio 2011. Todos los competidores llegan con "hambre de victoria". Kelly esta buscando un motivo para llevarse el 11 titulo del mundo, Jordy esta ahi, Adriano y Jadson estan en casa, Parko tiene sed de una nueva victoria, Taj quiere la revancha etc etc. Seguro que se presenta muy interesante y las previsiones son heavys (al menos durante el arranque).

Tomorrow, a day before my birthday, begins the Billabong Pro Rio 2011. All competitors come with "hungry for victory". Kelly is looking for a reason to take the 11th title of the world, Jordy is there, Adriano and Jadson are at home, Parko is hungry for another victory, Taj wants a rematch etc etc. For sure it looks very interesting and the forecasts are big (at least during the beginning)

THE NECK BEARD BY DANE REYNOLDS

Después de un año jugando con conceptos diferentes, Dane Reynolds lanza la Neck Beard, su tabla favorita como free surfing. No oculta el volumen como con la Dumpster Diver; Dane se deja llevar con un "nose" más ancho y corta la cola. Cóncava y "vee" en la parte de atrás, esta tabla es más rápida bajo sus líneas, se ha incrementado la transición del carril-a-carril, y es más estable en la recepción de los aéreos. Super fácil de llevar, esta es la tabla que prefiere Dane cuando las condiciones son de entre medio metro y un metro.
Es un tri-fin y quad para la velocidad. Viene con una configuración de cinco para obtener lo mejor de ambos mundos. Si eres un fan de la Diver, entonces definitivamente te tienes que hacer con este modelo. Se aconseja de 4 a 6 pulgadas más corta que tu altura.

After a year of tinkering with different concepts, Dane Reynolds launches the Neck Beard, his favorite free-surf board. No longer working to hide volume from the judges like with the Dumpster Diver, Dane is letting it all hang out with a wider nose and chop tail. With light single concave and vee out the back, this board is faster down the line, has increased rail-to-rail transition, and is more stable when landing airs. Super user-friendly, this is the board Dane grabs when its 1-foot to head-high.
Dane rides the Neck Beard as a tri-fin and as a quad for speed. Comes with a five fin setup to get the best of both worlds. If you are a fan of the Dumpster Diver, then definitely grow out your Neck Beard. Order yours 4 to 6 inches shorter than your height
